Serving & Volunteering

Serving and volunteering.

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve.” — Mark 10:45

Give Help

If the Spirit is tugging on your heart to help.

The church shows the world that God's Spirit is genuine in us when we love one another and serve each other. Give us a call or send an email and we will help connect you with a place to serve.

Get Help

Sometimes you are the one in need of help.

The church is here to support you. Needs are most often met through your small group, ministry friends or prayer requests — but if you are new, haven't been connected recently, or it is something you wish to keep confidential with the pastors, please reach out.

Serve

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

“Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”

Volunteer FAQ

Common questions about serving.

What can I do?

There are roles for every schedule, skill set, and comfort level — from greeting on Sunday mornings and baking meals to tech ministry, grounds keeping, and neighborhood tutoring.

How do I volunteer with kids or students?

Because the safety of our children is paramount, all volunteers serving with minors complete an application, simple background screening, and brief training with our ministry leaders.

Do I have to be a member of FBC?

Not for most service opportunities! Many areas of practical service welcome regular attendees and newcomers. Certain pastoral, teaching, or leadership roles do require formal membership.

How do I find out where I can help?

Fill out our quick volunteer sign-up form, speak to a pastor after Sunday worship, or call our church office. We love helping individuals discover where their gifts flourish best.
